Zhuoyue New Energy’s Thailand Bioenergy Project Officially Breaks Ground
On January 19, Zhuoyue New Energy announced via its official WeChat account that its subsidiary, Zhuoyue New Energy (Thailand) Co., Ltd., recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for a bioenergy project at the Eastern Industrial Zone, Chonburi in Thailand.
The Thailand bioenergy project represents a key component of the company’s international expansion strategy. Leveraging its proprietary core technologies, the project will make use of locally abundant feedstocks such as used cooking oil and palm acid oil. It is designed to include facilities with an annual capacity of 300,000 tonnes of biodiesel, as well as 100,000 tonnes per year of HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil, also known as renewable diesel) and SAF (sustainable aviation fuel), along with the necessary supporting infrastructure.
The project is planned to be developed in two phases. Phase I will focus on the construction of a 300,000-tonne-per-year biodiesel production line, while Phase II will add HVO/SAF production capacity. The finished products are expected to be supplied mainly to aviation, maritime, and road transportation markets in Europe, the United States, and Southeast Asia.
