February 26, 2026 · biofuels

According to the Longyan Municipal Government website on February 26, the Xinluo Zhuoyue Xinneng Meishan Bioenergy Project has been progressing steadily since construction began in 2023. With a total investment of RMB 1.136 billion and covering 415 mu of land, the project focuses on converting waste oils and fats into green renewable fuels and bio-based materials. Its product portfolio includes hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) biodiesel, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), bio-gasoline, propylene oxide, and natural fatty alcohols.

The project is being developed in two phases. Phase I consists of a 50,000-ton-per-year natural fatty alcohol production line, which has already been completed and put into operation. Phase II involves the construction of two production lines with a combined capacity of 100,000 tons per year of HVO biodiesel, including 80,000 tons of SAF. The second phase passed comprehensive acceptance on February 12 and is currently undergoing equipment installation and commissioning. Trial production is expected to begin immediately after commissioning is completed.
