The Argentine government announced on Monday, through its official gazette, an increase in the regulated prices for biofuels blended with fossil fuels in the domestic market.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the minimum price for sugarcane-based bioethanol has been raised to 918.025 pesos per liter (about USD 0.65), up from 891.286 pesos previously. Meanwhile, the price for biodiesel blended with diesel fuel was increased to 1,688,961 pesos per metric ton, compared to 1,590,832 pesos before.
The new prices take effect immediately upon publication and will remain in force until new rates are issued. Argentina is one of the world’s leading producers of biofuels—particularly biodiesel—and frequently adjusts domestic prices to reflect production costs, market dynamics, and its broader energy security goals.
